Otakar Čemus was a Czech painter who spent his childhood in Panenské Břežany. After getting married, he moved to the nearby village of Kozomín, where he still creates his works. From 1952 to 1959, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in the special school of Prof. Vlastimil Rada and worked as an artist in leading Czechoslovak magazines and newspapers. In 1988, he was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist. His works are represented in state galleries and private collections at home and abroad. A significant part of his work consists of book illustrations, children’s picture books, fairy tale books, or postcards with Christmas and Easter themes.(source: Wikipedia)
