Jan Vozdecký byl český fotograf, který se narodil 23. února 1945 a zemřel 29. dubna 2013. Působil především v letech 1970 až 2000 a patřil k významným osobnostem české fotografické scény. Vozdecký se specializoval na dokumentární a reportážní fotografii a v jeho díle se často objevují sociální témata. Mezi jeho nejznámější práce patří fotografická série zachycující život romské menšiny v Československu v 70. a 80. letech. Tento cyklus fotografií se stal významným dokumentem té doby a pomohl připomenout problematiku romské menšiny. Vozdecký také spolupracoval s řadou časopisů a novin, například s Mladou frontou, Literárními novinami, Reflexem a dalšími. Byl také autorem několika knižních publikací, například "Fotografové o fotografii" a "Cesty a lidi". V roce 1991 mu byla udělena cena Czech Press Photo za nejlepší fotografii v kategorii Lidé. Po roce 2000 se Jan Vozdecký stáhl do soukromí a již se nevěnoval profesionální fotografii. Jeho dílo však zůstává významným příspěvkem do českého kulturního dědictví.
