Antoni Gaudí i Cornet was born on June 25, 1852 in Reus, Spain and died on June 10, 1926 in Barcelona. He was a Catalan architect whose distinctive style is characterized by freedom of form, rich color and texture, and organic unity. Gaudí’s work was influenced by his passions in life: architecture, nature, and religion.
